Rejuvenate with a microdermabrasion treatment.
Dry, lack-lustre skin? Breakouts? Acne?
Treat yourself to a microdermabrasion and exfoliate the dull, dead, outer surface of your skin.
Why? It effectively targets your skin’s natural rejuvenation process. Although it is an excellent maintenance treatment for normal skin, it also treats premature aging caused by sun exposure, dry skin, acne, blemish scars, sunspots, and fine lines. Our signature 9-Step microdermabrasion can also help to reduce the appearance of raised scars.
For acne sufferers, fortnightly to monthly treatments can put you back in control of your skin. With regular maintenance treatments and a personalised Institut home skin care plan, your skin will soon be rejuvenated and glowing.
Sometimes referred to as derm or microderm (or micro-dermabrasion) this invigorating 50-minute treatment gently removes the dead surface skin and unclogs your pores to leave your skin clean, clear, bright and purified.

How can I prepare?
There is no preparation needed for microdermabrasion. However, if you have taken the acne drug Roaccutane or other acne medication, avoid microdermabrasion for six months after ceasing use.
What should I do post-treatment?
Our staff will recommend Institut skincare products to reinforce the treatment’s effectiveness and to continue to improve your skin.
What does our 9-Step microdermabrasion involve?
- AHA/BHA Mask
- Peel (after careful assessment of suitability)
At The Cosmetic Clinic, we provide a unique approach to microdermabrasion and tailor your treatment to your skin’s needs with our diamond-tipped machines.
Your skin is exfoliated by a combination of abrasion and suction, extracting debris from your pores and collecting dead skin. You will be amazed at how much is collected in the filter! To maintain the highest of standards, the tips are sterilised between clients and a fresh filter is always used.
In nine steps and 50-minutes, we cleanse, apply a BHA pre-treatment, administer microdermabrasion and determine whether the skin can tolerate a peel. Post-treatment, your practitioner will apply a hydrating mask and sunscreen.
Is it safe?
Microdermabrasion is a pain-free treatment with no anaesthetic required, however you will feel a mild scratching sensation as dead skin cells are exfoliated and removed.
If you have taken the acne drug Roaccutane or other acne medication, avoid microdermabrasion for six months after ceasing use.
