Pre and Post Care
Pre treatment preparation
We cannot treat you if you have:
- Skin irritation or tanning of any type within 2 weeks of your treatment.
- A history of abnormal skin healing or or scarring.
- Used skin care containing Retinol (topical Vitamin A) in the last 3 days.
You must advise your technician if you have ever used Roaccutaine or Gold Therapy.
Post treatment care
- Apply cold packs and Institut Laser Aid to alleviate redness and reduce the feeling of ‘sunburn’.
- Avoid sun exposure and solarium treatments for at least 3 weeks post treatment to avoid sunburn and increased pigmentation.
- Apply an SPF 30+ (or higher) sunscreen throughout the day for 1 – 2 weeks post treatment. If your treatment was for broken
capillaries, these may return if you continue to expose your skin to sunlight.
- It is important to maintain a good skincare routine with an adequate daily moisturiser. Avoid using any skincare that contains AHA, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid or Retinol for a minimum of 3 – 5 days.
About laser technology
The laser works through transmitting light through the skin to the blood vessels. As the light is absorbed into the vessels it turns to heat, which is conducted to the vessel walls.
The damage caused by the heat conducted, is enough to damage the walls, which the circulatory system can not repair, making them disappear. The veins are fast and easy to treat.
Each of our clinics are equipped with the laser technology used to treat facial veins, visible blood vessels and capillaries.
How may treatments will I need?
Laser sessions may vary, but most clients need one to three treatments to achieve optimal results.
How much does it cost?

What equipment is used?
Our Candela lasers use non-invasive laser technology to safely, and effectively treat facial redness and flushing. You can expect to see consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects. Treatment can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of topical anesthetics.
What does this procedure do?
Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming if your skin’s surface during the procedure as the laser hand piece is moved back and forth about a centimeter above the skin. The heating of the skin stimulates collagen re-growth and dilates the capillaries.
On average, you will require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic. You can immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if participating in outdoors activities.
**Results may vary from person to person.
