Standard Terms and Conditions – The Cosmetic Clinic

• These terms and conditions are published by The Cosmetic Clinic New Zealand Limited, the country development licensee for The Cosmetic Clinic brand and system in New Zealand.

Standard Promotion Terms and Conditions

• May not be taken or claimed in conjunction with any other offer.
• Pre-payment / purchase is required.
• Available at all The Cosmetic Clinic locations unless otherwise specified at applicable outlet.
• Treatment packages are not able to be split between more than one person.
• Promotional pricing is not applicable for existing bookings and will only apply to new bookings made and paid for in full during the promotion period.
• Offer is for a limited time only and is subject to availability.
• The Cosmetic Clinic reserves the right to end the sale or offer at any time without prior notification or advertisement.
• Promotion pricing applies to the specified treatments only. Excludes all other treatments and products listed in The Cosmetic Clinic treatment and pricing guide, or website.
• The Cosmetic Clinic medical practitioners and technicians reserve the right to determine suitable treatment for the client and to refuse treatment for the client, if deemed not suitable. This decision is to be made by The Cosmetic Clinic medical practitioner and/or technician in their absolute discretion.
• The refund policy applies. See Cancellation and Refund section below.
• Each The Cosmetic Clinic outlet is an independently owned and operated franchisee of The Cosmetic Clinic Limited.
• These terms and conditions apply to all sales and promotions by any The Cosmetic Clinic outlet in New Zealand unless an individual clinic advises otherwise.
• The Cosmetic Clinic Limited has no obligations to, or relationship with customers of any The Cosmetic Clinic outlet.
• Buy 1 get 1 free promotions apply to single treatments only.
• Promotional discounts always exclude Skin Packages, Cosmelan, Dermamelan Intimate, Lumixa Light Therapy, Teeth Whitening, Skin Care products, Skin and Laser Add on’s, Laser Hair Removal Full Body excluding face and Cosmetic Injectables.

Series and packages:

• All standard laser hair removal and skin treatment packages are valid for 18 months from purchase.
• When laser hair removal areas are sold as a package, for example the Brazilian + Under Arms + Full Legs package, areas purchased in the package cannot be split over separate appointments.
• Initial course of Lumixa treatment should include a series of 5 treatments valid for 6 months from purchase.
• All Teeth Whitening pre-purchased series are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase.
• NOTE: From time to time additional promotional terms may apply. A link to these additional terms and conditions will be available on our sale page.

Full Body Laser Hair Removal Package Terms & Conditions

• Clients may purchase the full body laser hair removal package at the prices set out in the marketing materials from time to time unless otherwise advised by individual locations.
• The full body laser hair removal package includes all of the laser hair removal areas offered by The Cosmetic Clinic, as set out in the marketing materials from time to time. This package does not include laser hair removal areas that are not currently offered by The Cosmetic Clinic.
• Clients may elect to remove any area from their full body laser hair removal package.
• Clients must advise the staff at the time of purchase which areas they are nominating to be included in treatment.
• No reduction in price is available where areas have been removed from the package.
• Bookings must be made for all laser hair removal treatments.
• Bookings for this package may not be available at all times on all days.
• The package is not transferrable and cannot be split between clients.
• Clients must pre-pay for this package.
• Multiple pre-paid discount prices are available.
• All standard promotion terms and conditions apply.

Complimentary Skin Consultations

• Each client must have a complimentary consultation before any treatment is agreed to or undertaken.
• The Cosmetic Clinic medical practitioners, nurses and technicians reserve the right to determine suitable treatment for the client.

Treatments

• Cosmelan Programme:
• Please note that all clients require prepping with the Mesoestetic Brightening Peel Booster/Skin Retin 0.3% which is included in the Cosmelan treatment cost. It is also recommended that clients have a Pigment Medi Peel (valued at $159), which is not included in the Cosmelan treatment cost, prior to the Cosmelan Depigmentation Program to enhance results. • ProfhiloⓇ Bio Remodelling:
  We advise avoiding peels or any skin needling treatment 7 days prior to your Profhilo treatment. Book a FREE consultation to find out more about our ProfhiloⓇ Bio Remodelling treatment. Advise our doctors and nurses if you are taking blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel, etc), regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation.
• Lumixa Light Therapy:
  2 weeks prior to treatment day: topical prescription retinol must be stopped, must not have an active cold sore, and no waxing, laser or IPL in the area. If you are/have taken Accutane, or any other acne drug, you must stop use 6 months prior to treatment.
  3 days prior: no recent sun exposure and sunbeds, stop using cosmeceutical retinol and AHA/BHA.

BOTOX:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Botox® is a prescription medicine for the treatment of frown lines , horizontal forehead lines and crow’s feet round the eyes. Botox® has risks and benefits. Ask your doctor if Botox is right for you. If you have side effects, see your doctor. You will need to pay for Botox® and clinic fees will apply. For details on precautions & side effects consult your healthcare professional or the Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) at www.medsafe.govt.nz . Botox® treatment lasts about 4 months and further courses of treatment may be necessary. Should only be administered by trained medical professionals. (contains botulinum toxin A 50,100 & 200 units) Allergan (NZ) Limited, Auckland.

On-Label use: Treat forehead 8 units, treat frown 20 units, treat crows-feet 20 units these are the manufacturer’s recommended minimum dosages per area.

While the recommended dosage serves as a guideline based on clinical trials and expert consensus, healthcare professionals have the discretion to adjust the dosage based on individual patient factors and clinical judgment.

Patient-specific factors: Each patient is unique, and their characteristics, such as age, weight, overall health, and response to treatment, can influence the appropriate dosage. A medical professional may adjust the dosage based on these factors to ensure optimal efficacy and safety for the individual patient.

Off-label use: Healthcare professionals may prescribe a medication for an indication or in a dosage that is not specifically approved by regulatory authorities. This is known as off-label use. Off-label use may be appropriate in certain cases where the healthcare professional determines that the potential benefits outweigh the risks.

Response to treatment: If a patient has previously received a medication and did not respond adequately or experienced side effects at the recommended dosage, a medical professional may consider adjusting the dosage to achieve a better response or minimise adverse effects.

Clinical judgment and expertise: Healthcare professionals rely on their clinical judgment, expertise, and knowledge of the latest research and medical guidelines to make informed decisions about dosage adjustments. They may take into account factors such as the severity of the condition, the patient’s overall treatment plan, and their experience with similar cases.

DYSPORT:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dysport® (Clostridium botulinum type A toxin-haemagglutinin complex, 300 or 500 IPSEN units) is a Prescription Medicine for the treatment of vertical frown lines between the eyebrows. DYSPORT® has risks and benefits. For more information, talk to your medical professional or read the Consumer Medicine Information available at www.medsafe.govt.nz. Ask your Doctor if DYSPORT® is right for you. Do not use in patients with allergIndividy to active ingredients, in patients diagnosed with myasthenic gravis. Do not use if there is sign of infection at injection site. If you experience side effects and they concern you, see your medical professional. Cancellation & Refund:

We offer amazing value in beautiful facilities with highly trained staff. To be able to do this, we have to protect our appointment availability via the following refund and cancellation policy:

• The Cosmetic Clinic has a ‘no refund’ policy on purchases if you simply change your mind.
• Treatments/services and service packages are not transferable to other individuals or clinics.
• We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation to allow time to reallocate your appointment to another client.
• If you fail to attend an appointment without providing at least 24 hours prior notice, we reserve the right to charge you a $50 No Show or Late Cancellation fee. If you have pre-paid for an appointment and you fail to attend that appointment, you may forfeit one treatment from your package.
• Refunds will be provided where required under New Zealand Consumer Law.
• Please note that deposits paid for cosmetic injectable treatments are non-refundable, if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, or fail to attend a booked appointment.
• Refunds directly back to a client’s bank account, with the exception of payments originally made using cash, will incur a 5% administrative charge.
