Description
Teeth whitening is a simple, non-invasive treatment used to improve the colour of natural tooth enamel. The Whitening Co. products we use in our treatments contain active ingredients that penetrate into the deeper layers of your teeth, targeting those hard-to-remove stains while also strengthening enamel. As a result, you’re left with a brighter, whiter, and more confident smile.
Teeth whitening is safe and effective for most people, the best candidates for this treatment are those who have mild to moderate teeth discolouration. There are certain types of discolouration that cannot be improved by teeth whitening, and there are some dental or medical conditions that may decrease the effectiveness of the treatment.
Our experienced Therapists will be able to help identify your needs & with our Teeth Whitening treatment will have you smiling with confidence.
FAQ
How long should I wait to eat or drink after a treatment?
We recommend that you avoid eating & drinking acidic-coloured beverages, for a minimum 3 hours after treatment as your teeth are very absorbent. Drinking water is acceptable. You are also to avoid any food or beverages that are prone to staining your teeth i.e., red wine, coloured sauces, tea & coffee, for a minimum 72 hours post treatment.
Are there any side effects?
Your teeth may be a little sensitive after treatment. You will be provided with aftercare cream that you can apply to your teeth as needed to reduce any sensitivity.
Is teeth whitening painful? Is it safe?
Teeth Whitening treatments are painless. Your teeth may feel a little sensitive during treatment, but this is very normal. Teeth Whitening treatments are also very safe & the product used does not damage your tooth enamel and will not cause any harm to your teeth or gums.
What is the difference between intrinsic & extrinsic teeth staining?
Intrinsic Staining: are stains that occur below the surface of the tooth enamel. Common causes of intrinsic staining include ageing, genetics, decay, medication & trauma to the tooth. Teeth whitening treatments are not effective on intrinsic staining.
Extrinsic Staining: are stains that appear on the superficial surface of your teeth. Common causes of extrinsic teeth staining include drinking-coloured beverages like red wine, coffee & lifestyle habits such as smoking cigarettes. Teeth Whitening treatments are most effective on extrinsic stains.
How quickly will I see results?
You will start to see results from your very first treatment. For more difficult stains we recommend to have another whitening treatment 2 weeks apart for a whiter, brighter smile.
