The Cosmetic Clinic The deeper lines that run from the sides of our nose to the corners of our mouth start as smile lines when we are young but as we age, the malar fat pad (the chubby tissue in our cheeks) slides south and, combined with natural muscle shrinkage and loss of elasticity in the skin, become more pronounced.
We can use a combination of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections to gently “lift” the facial skin and gently ease out those nasolabial folds. There’s nothing wrong with showing how much joy you’ve had in your life, but we can certainly help smooth the lines out a little! Individual results may vary.
